9.9This was the single greatest meal of my life. Every single menu item was the best version of that dish I’ve ever had, by a lot. The service and ambience were both flawless, combined with the food and the overall hospitality make Torrisi as close to perfect as a restaurant can be. Although it’s nearly impossible to get in, it’s worth waiting in line or waking up early to snag a reservation.

9.9Been here twice and can confirm this is the best restaurant in Nola, although GW Fins is a very close second. Perfect ambience and hospitality combined with perfect food. Our server was amazing and unintentionally very funny, and the free crab beignets sent by the chef were maybe the greatest thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. I don’t understand how this place is so underrated nationally

9.8This is my new favorite restaurant in New Orleans, and maybe in the world. The oysters had a spicy vinegar on them and were the best I’ve ever had. The crab claws were elite. The shrimp costra was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted and was probably the best dish on the menu. The redfish was served in a chili sauce that was thickened with masa and served with the best tortillas I’ve ever had and made for a great taco. The hanger steak carne asada was also great and served in a delicious salsa verde that was perfectly smooth, and though I wish the portion size was bigger, it’s very rare that I have a steak in a restaurant that exceeds what I could make at home, which this did by a lot. The hamachi tostada had an Al pastor flavor that I thought was super interesting and very enjoyable. The ayacote beans were cooked perfectly and probably the best bean preparation I’ve ever had. Both desserts were the best I’ve had in any restaurant in New Orleans. The service was also incredible especially since it was mostly out of towners on a Saturday at 9 PM who came in hammered after jazz fest, myself included as I type this in my uber to Frenchman. It’s a bit out of the way from Tulane but very worth it

9.7Has a special place in my heart. It’s not the best, but it’s pretty fucking good, and definitely is the cheapest barbecue in the city, and the ambience and consistency are simply unmatched. Don’t go here expecting Texas craft bbq with a Instagram worthy platter, expect a mean chopped brisket sandwich for 5.99 with the best sauce you’ve ever had and a pound of smoky brisket, served on a grocery store bun.
