Walked in, started with oyster shooters—clean, cold, perfect. Then came the cioppino. They call it the “Best Damn” and they’re right. No letdown. Full stop. Yeah, it’s cramped. Tables tight, elbows bumping, voices loud. But when the food hits the table, none of that matters. Seafood piled in, sauce just right. Could be the best in the world. Place is loud, fast, full of life. I loved it. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Mike's Taco Club just makes a great Cali Burrito, plain and simple. Loaded, satisfying, and exactly what I wanted after walking around Ocean Beach. The carne asada, the fries, the sauce -- everything comes together perfectly. It's not overhyped, it's just done right. I like spots like this because they feel real: quick, friendly, and consistent every time I go. Classic OB energy with good food to match. If you're in the area, the Cali Burrito is the move. I'll definitely be back.

★★★★★ (the food and service) ★★☆☆☆ (for the social media team) Went in thinkin’ I was gonna love the Giambotta—and I did, it’s loaded and hits hard but the surprise winner was the Pollo Pesto. Didn’t expect it to be that good, but it was fire. Crust perfect. Cheese just right. Service? Super friendly, on point the whole time. No complaints there. But—and yeah, here’s the side note—their social media team reposted my photo on Instagram, cropped out my watermark, didn’t tag me, not even a "photo by" in the caption. Kinda a crappy move, not gonna lie. If you’re gonna use someone’s work, show some respect. That’s all I’m sayin’. Still, food’s worth it. Place is a classic. Just maybe don’t post your pics unless you’re cool with 'em takin' the credit.

No white tablecloths. No pretense. Just lobster, butter, and a roll that does its job. The hot buttered lobster roll is what I came for—and it's good. Not life-changing, but solid. Sweet meat, warm, dripping in butter. You taste the ocean, not some overworked aioli. It’s the kind of place you on a nice day. Sit outside, wipe your hands on your jeans, and feel like you’re doing something right. Four stars. No hype. No drama. Just a good lobster roll done the right way.
