9.0This has to be one of the best sandwiches I’ve had during my time in Florence. They really know how to do it right here. I spoke with the owner, and he told me all about how they source their meats from small farms and how all their bread is freshly made for customer consumption. The bread is incredible—crazy thin yet unbelievably crispy. The crunch is like music to your ears. The meat is thinly sliced and packed with flavor. You honestly can’t go wrong with any of their options. And for just 7–9 euros per sandwich, the value is unbeatable. While the line can get long around lunchtime, it’s absolutely worth the wait. If you’d rather avoid the crowd, go earlier or later in the day when the line is much shorter. The staff are incredibly skilled at what they do, and you can truly see the passion in their sandwich-making.I would come back to Florence just to eat this again. That’s how good it was.

8.5This restaurant is most definitely a hidden gem in Florence. While it’s a bit of a walk from the main areas, it’s absolutely worth the trip for a multitude of reasons.First, the price—everything is incredibly well-priced. You get large portions for cheap: 1 kilo of pasta for 20 euros, and a big pizza with toppings for just 8 euros. They even offer multi-course deals, like a lunchmeat platter, a 500g steak, and dessert all for 35 euros. You really can’t beat that. And for the price, the food is amazing. The meat is cooked perfectly, the pasta is to die for, and the pizza is nicely done. All in all, this place is a true hidden gem in Florence.

8.5Bacaro Quebrado is a must-try local spot in Venice. The food is fantastic, with a variety of seafood pastas—including a rich, flavorful squid ink option. Since it’s more of a local place, both the prices and atmosphere are excellent: super affordable with a laid-back, authentic vibe. While the view may not compare to some of the more touristy restaurants, it really doesn’t matter—you’ll be too focused on how good the food is. If you have the time, this hidden gem is definitely worth checking out.
